This luxurious lumbar pillow is tailored with a special fabric from Venice called ‘Fortuny’, a cotton fabric made with a special dye and printing process developed a century ago by the spanish artist Mariano Fortuny in Venice. The beautiful effect is achieved by building up colors which are painted one over the other and then printed with metallic or white paint. The exact process has been kept secret and Fortuny is still produced only in Venice in the same brick building as ages ago.
We chose deep red vintage Fortuny printed with a silverish gold floral pattern called ‘de Medici’ and styled it with a soft metallic finish linen and marabou fringe trim. A classy touch of color.
